The TRACE 2012 conference seeks to strengthen the network and scientific exchange of scientists and students involved in the study of tree rings. The annual conference is an initiative of the 'Association for Tree-Ring Research' (ATR).
TRACE 2012 will be held on May 9th to May 12th, 2012 in Potsdam and Eberswalde, Germany.
The TRACE 2012 conference seeks a high scientific level, while providing an informal forum for young scientists and students. It provides the opportunity to discuss concepts, on-going and finished work with leading researchers. The scope of the meetings includes all fields of dendroecology, such as tree rings in archaeology, climate, geomorphology, glaciology, fire history, hydrology, physiology, and stable isotopes.
Following the (informal) tradition of the last TRACE meetings, we hope to have a relaxed atmosphere to enable many discussions, exchange of knowledge, fruitful new contacts and possible collaborations.
TRACE 2012 is jointly organized by the German Research Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam, the German Archaeological Institut in Berlin and the Institute of Forest Ecology and Forest Inventory in Eberswalde.
